For more than 30 years, I’ve dedicated my career to one thing: building exceptional homes.
As a Spring–Klein native, homebuilding has never simply been my profession; it’s been my life’s work. My journey began while I was attending college, when an appreciation for craftsmanship and structural integrity led me to co-found a remodeling company. During the summer months, we renovated student apartments and rental homes, and those early years taught me lessons that have stayed with me throughout my career: work hard, take pride in your craftsmanship, and always do things the right way.
After selling that business, I joined several respected Houston homebuilders, where I worked my way from Construction Superintendent and Project Manager to Area Manager, Vice President of Production, and General Manager overseeing both Sales and Construction. Along the way, I had the opportunity to help develop more than 400 communities and oversee the construction of thousands of homes while leading operations for both private and publicly traded homebuilders.
My career eventually expanded beyond Texas, managing residential construction throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. I also became involved in residential land development, giving me firsthand experience with every stage of the process, from raw land and infrastructure to completed homes. Those experiences taught me that building a home isn’t just about construction; it’s about planning, leadership, and making the right decisions long before the foundation is ever poured.
In July of 2007, my wife, Gretchen, and I founded RVision Homes with one simple philosophy:
Build every home as if it were our own.
That philosophy continues to guide every decision we make today.
Unlike production builders, we build exclusively on our clients’ land. We don’t build in large subdivisions, and we intentionally limit the number of homes we build each year so we can remain personally involved throughout every project. I believe quality should never be sacrificed for volume.
Building on your own land is fundamentally different from building in a production subdivision. Every homesite presents unique challenges, from site preparation and drainage to utilities, elevations, septic systems, and foundation design. Successfully navigating those challenges requires experience that can only be earned through decades in the field.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the team we’ve built over the years. Our framing contractor has worked with me for more than 20 years. Our brick mason has been part of our team for over 11 years. Our trim carpenter has worked alongside me for more than eight years, and our painting contractor for more than nine. These aren’t subcontractors we hire for one project, they’re trusted craftsmen who understand our standards and share our commitment to quality.
Many of our trade partners work exclusively with RVision Homes. That consistency allows us to deliver the level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and accountability that has become the foundation of our reputation.
As demand for luxury acreage living grew throughout North Houston, I recognized an opportunity to specialize where experience truly matters. Today, we’ve become known for applying executive-level construction management and decades of hands-on expertise to the unique challenges of build-on-your-land custom homes. Along the way, we’ve also earned the trust of land developers seeking our guidance in planning thoughtfully designed acreage communities.
For me, luxury homebuilding isn’t defined by square footage or price point. It’s defined by stewardship. Stewardship of your land. Stewardship of your investment. Stewardship of the craftsmanship that goes into every home. Most importantly, stewardship of the trust you place in us.
