Site Preparation 

Before construction begins, preparing your land is one of the most important steps in building a custom home — and it’s an area where RVision Homes’ expertise makes all the difference. Our team takes care of every detail to ensure your property is truly ready to support the home of your dreams.

The process begins with a comprehensive site evaluation to assess the land’s layout, drainage, and overall buildability. From there, we coordinate boundary surveys and geotechnical soil testing to determine the safest and most effective foundation design. Once these steps are complete, we move into land clearing, grading, and house pad preparation, including bringing in fill dirt as needed and testing compaction for long-term stability.

RVision also manages all the essential engineering and approvals, including structural and foundation engineering, septic design and permits (when applicable), and full ACC/HOA plan submissions and approvals. During this stage, we coordinate with utility providers to handle underground electrical, water, and septic installation so that the site is fully functional before construction begins.

By managing every aspect of lot preparation — from the technical reports to the on-the-ground work — we remove the guesswork for homeowners and ensure construction can start smoothly and confidently. Energy Efficiency

RVision Homes takes pride in building sustainable, energy-conscious homes designed to keep families comfortable while reducing long-term costs. From the foundation to the roof, every detail is considered with efficiency in mind. Our homes include high-efficiency 80% AFUE forced-air gas furnaces paired with Honeywell VisionPro programmable thermostats to maintain consistent comfort.

Windows are crafted with Low-E2 insulated double-pane vinyl glass, helping to keep heat out during Texas summers and warmth in during the cooler months. To further protect against heat gain, we use radiant barrier roof decking and a high-efficiency attic ventilation system that work together to regulate temperatures throughout the home.

Insulation is another critical factor — we utilize R22–30 fiberglass blown insulation in ceilings and sloped ceilings, along with R12 fiberglass batt insulation in exterior walls, ensuring that conditioned air stays inside where it belongs. In addition, attic walls adjoining living areas are fully sheathed for efficiency, and poly-foam sealant is applied to all windows and exterior wall openings to prevent air leaks.

Each of these features combines to create a home that’s quieter, more comfortable, and significantly more energy-efficient — giving our homeowners peace of mind, lower utility costs, and a healthier living environment for years to come.
